We have been getting a lot of questions about eyelashes these last few weeks. We asked Dr. Carracino what her recommended regimen is for the thickest, fullness lashes.
Latisse (Bimatoprost 0.03%) is a solution that has been safely used to treat glaucoma. Instead of putting the drop in your eye, Latisse is brushed over the top of each eyelash once a night. Lashes increase in length, fullness and darkness over the next 16 weeks.*
Latisse is usually well-tolerated. Side effects include potential darkening of the color of your eye especially if they’re light, and a subtle redness of the skin around your eye. Although both are mild, they may be permanent. You should not use Latisse if you are pregnant, have uveitis or any inflammation or active infections of the eye. Let our physicians know if you are being treated for glaucoma.
You can use Latisse if you wear contacts or have had Lasik eye surgery. You can also use it if you use lash extensions, so your lashes will keep their length after the extensions come off. One container of Latisse usually lasts 5-6 months.

In addition to the Latisse, we recommend using Colorescience Mascara. It is formulated with an advanced pentapeptide blend and provides extra length, volume and condition for a dramatic, long-lasting finish that glides on smooth and doesn’t clump. This is a client favorite, and we have just ordered a new supply as demand has been very high!
