A: Skin Deep Medical Aesthetics is truly a Medical Aesthetics practice. We aren’t just backed by physicians. Physicians perform the majority of the services and are always on site if our Esthetician or Nurses are performing services. We also offer lower prices than many of the Medical Aesthetics practices in Chittenden County because it is important to us that the medical grade services and products we offer are affordable. Q: What is the difference between a Medical Aesthetics Practice and a Spa that offers similar treatments?
A. We each have our own niche. A spa offers multiple services that aid in relaxation, stress reduction, pampering and more. A Medical Aesthetics practice offers medical grade products that cannot be used at a spa. We offer services that are results driven to treat conditions or concerns that you have with your skin or appearance. Because we are physician owned and operated we can offer Laser treatments, Medical Grade products, Botox, Filler (Radiesse, Juvederm, Voluma and more), Microdermabrasion, etc.
Q: Why do the Physicians of Skin Deep Medical Aesthetics perform the majority of the services offered?
A: As Physicians what matters most to us is that our patient-clients are getting the best treatment and care available. We research the medical literature. We know the safety and effectiveness of each treatment and product we offer, and can talk to you about the science behind the beauty. We make sure that we know that the results are proven and beneficial.
Q: What treatments to the physicians do?
A. Dr. Maria Carracino, Dr. Kara Flaherty and Dr. Paula Miner are all fully trained and experienced in many of the services from Botox/Filler and Sclerotherapy to Laser treatments, Skin Tightening, Microdermabrasion, and Peels. Debbie and Patti, our Nurse and Esthetician, are also fully-trained and experienced in Laser, Microdermabrasion, Facials, Peels and Massage. There is always a physician on site should there be questions about the medical safety of a treatment for a particular patient-client.*
